Public Body - Flavour of Labour EP

Public Body - Flavour of Labour EP. Six Tonnes De Chair Records.

Public Body's angular approach to rhythm is well and truly adhered to on the Flavour of Labour EP. Remaining at an acute aperture, the tongue and cheek style of Public Body is cutting in its efficacy. The tight knit relationship of the bands performance leaves no gaps for fluffing around. It's a pretty serious affair, but you get the sense that the band have quite the funny bone underneath their exterior - a sarcastic, saran wrapped being with a jolly view on how things play out. Fun times are to be had along the way.

Bands in their infancy often produce output that excites, but doesn’t necessarily go anywhere. Public Body fall into this category, however slight tinkerings with song structure and figuring out where the material is going to, and coming from, will most certainly lead to a fruitful period for the band. Falling off of bands such as London's Shame and fellow Brighton boys Squid, Public Body are pulling from the right pools of influence for this to take flight. The Flavour of Labour EP certainly impresses from a musicianship standpoint.

Once they find their own groove and travel down their own tracks things will begin to move. The future is paved in indescribable potential for Public Body.
