Codex's recent run of left-leaning projects have offered up plenty of palette cleansing moments. Soothing out what the ears have come to know and refreshing the mental to a point not far from square one, the sounds and all-round feel of said run continues with I/O/T/A. Restoring a sense of wonderment to the psyche, Codex has furthered his rock-steady discography with one of his most obscure, yet most beautiful, projects to date.

Codex's musical output takes on as many facets as his life outside of the music world. Pulling inspiration from all corners of the artistic sphere, and, once again, contorting the finished product through his insane signature sound, I/O/T/A packs an experience that's hard to define, or find words for. A busy bee with hands in animation, graffiti, and fanzine curation, to name just a few extra curricular activities, Codex skews the modern interpretation of what an artist is. When it comes to taking on multiple worlds at once, very few can keep up the standard and time and time again produce the output of a maniacally focused mindset. Something of a creative powerhouse, Codex manages to juggle multiple disciplines. On top of this, the obscure sense of artistry that his work exudes is utterly unique. Codex cultivates every inch of his universe. Each step taken within said creation is one of intent and well-poised purpose. An alchemist when it comes to mixing atmosphere, feel, and emotion, I/O/T/A ever so smoothly pulls together a sense of otherworldly spirit.

Creating a cohesive sound somewhere between two opposite ends of the spectrum - disjointed and regimented - Codex boggles the mind. Flipping sounds on their side and evoking a sensorial experience has become Codex's specialty - said experience being a thing that all artists strive toward. You wont find another project that comes close to this level of sublime chaos.

I/O/T/A pulls from a seemingly endless creative chasm. It feels as if the material could go on forever without running out of depths to pull from. The deeper you delve in, the further you realize the insane scope and attention to detail that every second has packed in.
